Greetings From Louisville, Kentucky 1947. Louisville was founded by General Clark in 1779. It is located on the Ohio River, midway between the Gulf Coast & Lake Superior. Louisville is the home of the Churchill Downs race track, where is run annually the historic Kentucky Derby, the oldest turf classic in America and in which the flower of the world's three-year olds compete.
In Zachary Taylor National Cemetery is buried General Zachary Taylor, "Old Rough & Ready" the 14th President of the U.S.A. His daughter, Knoxie, was married to Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America.
